What is the natural derivative that delivers exfoliation in the Enzyme Exfoliant?

Papaya Enzymes, a fruit extract, is the botanical compound that assists in gently breaking down and digesting large proteins that have accumulated on the top layer of the skin, such as dead skin cells and flaky patches. Papain also includes soothing and anti-inflammatory properties which in turn assist to brighten the skin and repair the skin’s natural complexion. Pomegranate Enzymes also act as a micro exfoliator that works to penetrate deeply into the skin to encourage the renewal of skin cells.

Why is Lactic Acid beneficial?

Lactic acid, a type of AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), when used in conjunction with exfoliation has been proven to assist with hyperpigmentation. It has also been proven to not be as harsh as other chemical exfoliants.
