Just because our 2020 travel plans were cancelled, it doesn't mean we can't dream of all the places we plan to visit in the future.
If you’re anything like us then you have probably looked back at your vacay memories and felt a little sad that you won’t be planning a spontaneous trip any time soon. While we can’t do any actual travelling for the time being, we can still map out all the places we’d love to visit when the time is right. Making a Pinterest board for every place you’d like to visit is a great virtual mood board and manifestation tool. If you’re lacking some travel inspiration, here is our list of places we’re planning to visit.
New York
There’s something about the big city that keeps you wanting to go back for more. From Times Square to The Hudson River and Central Park, it really does have it all. It’s been one of the hardest hit by the Coronavirus, so it may be a while until we’re back at Carbone eating pasta but it’s absolutely on the list. After all, New York is what dreams are made of.
Palm Springs
In honour of Coachella, we’re putting Palm Springs on our list. You don’t need a music festival to visit the beautiful southern California dessert. A few best friends, a great house and some Bali Body tanning oils packed in your luggage is the perfect escape. You can even plan to have a ‘Coachella party’ because if we have learnt anything in isolation, it’s that you can always make your own fun. Be right back, going to stalk Hailey Bieber for some outfit inspiration.
Italy
Who would ever say no to Italy? Especially when you can rent out the Italian villa from ‘Normal People’ on Airbnb. The ancient farmhouse in Sant'Oreste, just north of Rome, sleeps six guests and is surrounded by a pool and lush greenery. Don’t mind us, we’re just daydreaming of a dinner party with Marianne and Connell featuring a glorious Italian sunset. If you happen to be one of the 2% of people who hasn't got stuck in a Normal People vortex yet, do yourself a favour and watch it immediately. You can thank us later.
London
An entire day in Shoreditch shopping, dinner in Soho and a visit to Hyde Park are just a few things on our ultimate London itinerary. The capital of England is one of the most diverse cities in the world and full of endless culture and culinary experiences. While we’ll be staying put for a little while longer, we can’t wait to be drinking cocktails at Sketch with our besties that we’re missing from around the globe.
For now though, we’re going to apply our best self tan and make a homemade espresso martini while we bring our vacay Pinterest boards to life.
